Almost four years ago (time flies!) we moved to Rome, Italy. My husband got a job for 18 months there. Well, at the begining it was for 18 months but in real we stayed there almost 3 years.
In Rome, i have met Mariette, a young, nice woman from South Africa. Immediatly we became friends. Mariette talk to me about her passion for mixed media and for me it was a revelation !
Il y a quatre ans déjà ( que le temps passe vite !) nous avons déménagé à Rome, en Italie. Mon mari était muté là-bas pour dix-huit mois. Enfin, au départ nous devions rester dix-huit mois, il s'est avéré par la suite que nous y sommes restés pratiquement trois ans. Là-bas, j'ai rencontré Mariette, une jeune femme Sud africaine, agréable, enthousiaste et très sympathique. Tout de suite, nous sommes devenues amies. C'est Mariette qui m'a parlée de sa passion pour le mixed média et qui m'a fait découvrir cet art. Cela a été pour moi une vraie révélation.
Together we bought Kelly Rae Roberts 's book : Taking Flight, and we really dreamed with her work.
I bought some paint and paint brushes, and i tried to copycat Kelly. ( sorry Kelly but it was just for fun!)
